Matt Nathanson - Church Clothes

Unread post by TheGoop » Sat Dec 17, 2005 6:32 pm

This is my first recording post....you may or may not have heard of Matt Nathanson, he plays a lot of colleges and clubs. If you ever saw American Wedding, he did the cover of "Laid" for the movie. I've been playing for about 6 years and did a bunch of open mics in college....any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Great voice man. My only stipulation is your muting the guitar strings too much, I can barely hear it. Solid cover though.

Kahn's right. Great cover, just let that guitar sing like you do in between the verses.

I'm a big Nathanson fan too. Great performer, Hell of a guy too.

thanks a lot for the input, I'll definately try to give it more sound in the verse....I've seen him play it on a 12 string, so there's a full sound even with heavy palm muting...thanks again

Great cover, Matt Nathanson is awesome, out of curiosity, where do you get your tabs from?
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Very good, you've got a great voice.

I've never heard the original so I don't know if Nathanson does the same thing but you're mispronouncing the word "jewelry". It's nitpicky and maybe you could care less.
