I'd love to get opinions on this:

It's a quick recording with my laptop, little pc mic, cooledit. I'm not really a singer, but I thought I'd put some vocals down for once for fun. :p

Actualy that was pretty good. I notice you are tuned down, right? The only thing is that the double vocal track is a little much. What would sound good if you made one really quiet, and maybe sound like it's off in the distance. What I mean is something actualy like in the song the Yellow Submarine. Twards the end, it goes like this

Ringo sings lead
John sings a quiet back up that sounds like he talking ver loud from far away.

Ringo - so we live the life of ease
John - life of ease
Ringo - Everyone of us
John - everyone of us
Ringo - Is all we need
John - all we need
Ringo- Sky a blue
John - sky of blue
Ringo - And sea of green
John - sea of green
Ringo - In our yellow
John - in our yellow
Ringo - Submarine
John - submarine yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaa

Just a thought. Also, your voice isn't bad at all. I thought it was pretty good. :)
Yes, I am in a box

guitar, good slaps. overall good playing. pretty easy stuff, but you sounded good doing it.

vocals. you don't have a bad voice. stayed on key, which is kinda rare sometimes around here. i didn't like the two voices though. i don't konw if you just did vocals over your vocals or if you used chorus on your voice. but either way, i didn't like it. maybe if one of them were harmony.

thanks for the feedback guys!

I did do two layers of vocals, no chorus, it's a bit much perhaps indeed, because both layers have the same volume as mentioned. I did tune down half a step, coz I simply can't sing in normal tuning, like I said I'm not much of a singer and my voice is too low for normal tuning, or my lack of technique is just making me unable to sing 'that high'.

your a good singer and I think the two layers made it sound fuller and more interesting. I liked it. Keep on singing, you're good.
