unless i am sorely mistaken, samurai is also refering to my covers, as is evidenced by his "they rock" or something like that review.

and by saying theory is sound, what i mean is that theory describes the relationships between tones in more ways than you can imagine and tells us why things sound good or not. theory has everything to do with music and application. you are right in saying that without the sound, theory would not exist. but theory is the study of that sound, and it can be used to generate meaningful and beautiful sounds, just like any of the sciences or mathematical fields when applied to their respective areas of study. again, don't criticize or bash what you don't know about.

go ahead and keep on thinking that i can't play it right. would you like to point out to me what in dave's stuff is both different to and technically more challenging than what i do in my covers?? i'm so sorry that you can't think for yourself and improvise a little, feel the freedom to add your own voice to the music you play.

THE "MAGNIFITICO" HAS SPOKEN!!!!

you want me to go to my PM box and pull out exactly what I said? and I think someone who didn't even know what standard tuning was would be the last one to comment on what I did, and you even said it was pretty good at first but not entirely accurate...so...hmm...

Once again feeling sorry for you and your skill, but I'm leaving all that behind...the reason you criticize my covers is because you cant play it for shit and are just jealious or something...i cant think of another reason...because they are right on...they are perfect.

Jason, you say that theory is pointless if you cant make it sound badass, Tico and gcom can both do that...and understand the theory behind it.

I listened to both covers of billies. Jason you did play it accurate no one can dispute that. However I liked Ticos version better. When I hear a cover I appreciate when it has it's own flavour. I also appreciate if a person can play and you can play. Still you are not the only one on these bords that can kick out a DMB song that sounds exact.

Peace

Okay to get back to what this post was about. That was incredible singing and simple but catchy guitar riffs. Absolutely awsome. Good Job

Jason i dont like to make ultimatums (spelling?) however, you're stirring up quite a racket and i think you're somewhat alone. Very few agree with you here. And your comments are not only insulting but belitteling. I dont have a problem with you critiquing something respectfully. And im not saying you're the only one at fault here... There has most definitely been some "childish" bickering going back and forth between tico, gcom, and yourself (as well as some other sly remarks made by myself and others).

I'm not one to ban, nor do i plan to. I'm simply asking you to either speak respectfuly (unless everyone understands your jest) -- this goes for everyone. And im asking you to gracefully step back a moment and read some of your flaming comments and understand where the aggression and frustration from the others is coming from.

If you have an issue, talk to me privately, as i will be sending you a private message soon.
