well, as far as the music goes i have to say this was an awesome competition. but i'm very very disapointed in the board's participation as far as critiques go. it's sad to know that the people of dmbtabs for the most part have stopped listening to people's music. oh well, thank a million for those of you who took 20 min out of your life to critique us. we appreciate it.

Don't have time to critique them all now... I'll try to do one at a time off and on.
Apps - Miracle... great job, man. You've written a great song here and you really have something to be proud of. I love the simplicity of the lyric, "I'm so glad to see you," especially intertwined with the more complex, poetical writing. Great acoustic feel to this song - gets the foot tapping. I do have to say, however, that the vocals became weaker toward the end of the 3rd minute but got stronger toward the end. Nice abrupt ending, by the way. Works well. My compliments, my compliments.

Sarah - Foolish... just beautiful. I've always been a huge fan of your voice. In this particular tune, your voice reminds me of a mix between Paul Simon (personal favorite) and Elliot Smith. I felt the vocal blends did a lot for the song, but still find myself curious to hear it with one straight vocal track. I'd also love to see the lyrics. I was able to make out most of them, but would just like to clarify.
Tranman66 - Enjoyed it quite a bit. Brilliant at some points, somewhat sloppy at others, enjoyable nonetheless. Some constructive criticism (I hope), is that the song seems to lack a refrain. At points just seems like random playing. Fine playing, don't get me wrong, just not all that cohesive. Particularly enjoyed the piece from 2:30 onward.
