Very cool :)
I love to hear originals...
OUT OF THE DARKNESS - the verse melody is very Davish, but nice progression all around...I'm impressed...nice lyrics too...not cliched :)
QUESTIONS INSIDE - NO WAY!!! YOU STOLE CORDAROY (sp?) BY PEARL JAM!!!...dude, the intro is so close...:D anyhow, as for the rest...great to hear it doesn't sound the same as the other ;) "born to die: :( now I'm just sad ...I like your melodies that go with your chord choice...good length and not redundant...so again,
very cool :P

all right...as with fire, i love hearing originals. great job with what you did...though i'm not a fan of vibrato in the voice used too often, which i heard a lot more of in the second song. otherwise, i like 'em. keep 'em coming!

those songs had some interesting compositions man, the guitar was very solid in both.

you have a good voice, but i agree with isaac about the vibrato, its good in small amounts, but throughout the whole song can get kinda annoying

overall a good job, i give both of em a 7/10

My one question is how is Out of the darkness a davish progression ? I mean there is a point to where you can accuse every acoustic song written of stemming from Dave. I was nowhere even thinking of DMB when I wrote it. I thank you for your compliments on it though for sure.

As for the Questions Inside I only realized later the intro is close to pearl jam's song. I was nowhere near them either when I wrote the song. It just came out as is. I guess in the end everyone will inevitably write parts of progressions that will resemble other songs. I mean Led Zepplin's Thank you is close to the Marshall Tucker Band's Can't You See in the beginning of it as well. Not exactly the same but very similar. After the intro the Questions Inside I think definately strays a good distance from Pearl Jam. As for the vibrato I know some people might not like it but I used it for a reason. The entire album is going to be geared towards telling a story. It will make sense then.

I am in no way flaming you for criticisms as that is what this is for and I thank you for the compliments as well. I will post more soon.
