my stone cover

Unread post by borocks » Wed Aug 13, 2003 11:11 am

Ok here's my stone cover:
http://www.angelfire.com/un/borocks/songs.html
(will be completely uploaded in 20min)

I think it's not an easy song to play but I only needed two attempts!
Tell me what you think of it!

(Note: and English is not my first language, so the lyrics might not be fully accurate)

Peace, Bo

nice work bo....sounds really good...i'd slow it down a little, the verse is a little quicker rhythm than what it should be...but sounds like you've got the chords down perfectly and the vocals are really good too, especially the chorus. Keep up the great work, this is good stuff!

Thanx for your feedback. And I think your right with the verse, it is a bit two fast. But there's also something different, that I had problems with, namely the strumming. Dave has this really difficult strumming, his hand is always going up and down and he never seem to stop to pick some strings. I'm still having problems with doing this

Does anyone have a good solution to do it more like Dave?

I agree with TJMac, it is really good. But it is fast at parts. Keep up the good work. :)

not bad man but you do sound remarkable like Kermit the Frog which is pretty damn awesome.
Laughter come on downtown window
And we see faces walking back
Tonight everybody gonna remember
Remember in time...

If that's you playing guitar all the way though that's pretty amazing. To me, it sounds like you played the first part and repeated it over and over with a program. If you actually played it that way this is a compliment, if it was a reapeated recording, not so much. Even though it's a bit fast, that doesn't take away from your talent because the faster this song is played, the harder it is to play. So you might want to slow it down a bit like others have said, but I don't think you will find it too hard if that really is you playing all the way through. Please let us know what procedes!

I really played it all. There's no loops in there or other computerized crap. I play this song over and over and the riffs start to sound all the same. I think that is because of a lot of practise.
If you hear carefully you can hear how I don't hit the right string from time to time though not often.

That was real good. The verse was a little fast but you got that one down I'd say.
