Played "live" for the first time today

Unread post by Lou » Wed Jul 30, 2003 6:29 pm

today with abunch of friends i was messin around on my guitar (behind the beach club "Mickey Rats").....anyways.....a couple people (bout 4) came over and asked if it was cool if they could hear me play n sing...so i started, by the end.....around 15 people (plus me four friends) were there.....it was so cool...i did mess up more than i woulda liked to....but i was nervous....so oh well. Anyways.....it was fun and they all seemed to enjoy it although a lot of them didn't know all the tunes (mostly DMB)......jus thought i'd let ya know.
here's what i played when the first 4 showed up:

setlist:
Grace Is Gone
Crash Into Me
Morning After (howie day)
Grey St.
SMTS ("ASTB?")-->
WWYS
2step
LIOG
ANTS
(Hotel California)*--->
Watchtower

*jus played the intro

you know it's funny. a while back, before i played, me, my brother and a bunch of people we had just met were all sitting around on the beach drinking warm beer and playing and singing to the guitar. that day i decided i wanted to learn to play. i picked one up 6 months later and haven't put it down yet. and still, i have yet to have the oppertunity to just sit around like that and play again. i mean that's the reason i started playing, its starting to piss me off. :) so i say congrats for getting the chance.

playing at the beach is great....... in SD we always grab our guitars go out to some random beach location and play guitar (among other activities that shall not be named).... fun stuff... but I have to take my shitty guitar because I don't want the D-15 getting harmed in any way.

Are you looking to play some DMB style stuff in Buffalo? I live over in the Elmwood area, and I would be interested in playing...
