Here's one of my first attempts at playing and singing #41. I know my voice is not very good and I'm also not even close to being a great guitar player. But I'd like to hear what you think of this recording (bad quality, sorry). Please ignore the part before I started to sing. Somehow I didn't feel like it, though I could have done better. The alternate ending wasn't planned that way, but, well, it happened

Thanks

Any other commentary would still be welcome though.

Not bad dude. The guitar/singing was akward at times but that comes with time.
I thought the best thing you did was stay within your range...whereas I attack notes I have no buisness singing, you stayed where you were comfortable for the most part. good work.

Thank you, guys. Please keep on critizing, especially the singing. Do you think it's good enough to play in front of a small audience (silver wedding)? I'm still not really sure...
@Raif2032: What exactly do you mean with "awkward" and which parts? Just curious about it. Maybe I can work on it.

That one is a tough one to sing to. You did very well. Just keep practicing and you'll notice yourself getting better.
Also don't get discouraged if one day you can't hit the notes right. Everyone's got their off days. And also remember that this song is a tough one to sing to, not rhythmically, but the notes are tough to hit correctly.

The only thing i would say is, i would like to hear "you" sing it. Instead of trying to sing like for like with dave. The best cover i heard of this song on the boards was when it was totally done in the persons own style(i cant remember who it was?)
Parts like "What sort of man goes by" You dont need to sing it the Dave way. You know what i mean. But hell, apart from that it was cool, i cant sing, so who am i to say anything! lol
