yea, ive done all of that...i think it may be a deeper problem w/ the computer. it downloads half of it sometimes...sometimes it won't download it at all...but all of the time it freezes in the middle of the download. it may be something that i won't be able to fix from here, i just wondered if anyone had any suggestions...yes i have divx
Hmmm could be a bad connection but you said you were getting good speed though.
Are you having other problems with your computer as well? Perhaps you have a weird virus on your computer. I got a virus on my computer once and it acted really strange like I could access certain sites and do things. But then again some other sites I couldn't. After much research I discover I had nasty virus on my computer.
So I formatted and started over again. I usually format C and start over again once a year. Just save all of your important files on another drive.

Important Message: Hi.
OH yeah man there is nothing wrong with starting over like that once a year. You just have several drives on your computer and keep all of your files you want to keep on a separate drive. That way you can just wipe out the C and not lose every thing.
You need to start over from scratch like that every so often cause you computer gets a bunch of junk on it slowing it down, cause you have 10 programs running in the background that you don't even know about. Plus your registry gets all messed up each time you install and uninstall a program. Or install a program that you never use but it is still there on your computer.
I like a fresh slate every so often to start with.

i actually did the two particians thing...but i didn't put enough space in my other drive so that i could put everything i don't want to lose on it...i only use it for music. Last night i tried to download some stuff from this forum...you know some originals that people had done and some covers, but they all timed out after an hour (i wanted to see if it was just slow or if it wasn't working) So i went to my roomates computer and downloaded each of the songs in about a min and a half.
I really think im just going to throw this thing out the window, i mean, if its shattered in a million pieces, ill have a valid reason why its not downloading.

Hey Isaac, what registry programs do you use. I usually do it myself. But a good program would be better.
Man a few weeks ago I noticed I had that stupid Gator adware program sucking up my memory. I have no idea how it got on there it just magically appeared. And I have a firewall, router, and virus protection and I know I didn't click on any of the pop up things that you see every where. It is things like that that get on my computer and cause me problems and of course there uninstall program doesn't work so I have to remove it myself. A good registry program would be much appreciated.
