Original - Worth It

Hey guys this is my first post as a member. I wrote this song this morning. Please critique it. Keep in mind, though, I have an extremley sore throat and have lots of trouble with higher notes and keeping on key. My voice will get better, but please tell me watch you guys think of the song. This is just a rough draft and I'll eventually go back and add a lead guitar part. Thanks and Hello Again.

Man, good song in general, I think you play guitar well, and let me ask this question to you: for how long have you been playin guitar and what influences does dave matthews had on you? cauz I think your chord in this tune are like ... damn... can't remember the DMB tune but anyways...

Secondly, It's a little bit long, maybe you could shorten it... I love your Simili-chorus but you still got no expression while singin' it... :(

Try to EXPRESS yourself man, but i'm not yo father... but U wanted us to critique, so I did ;)

PS - Expression ... If u wanna know what i mean, listen to my compo... topic just under yours.

Thanks for the advice. Been playing guitar for about ten years. Influences are phish, widespread panic, govt mule, dave amongst others. As far as Dave goes, I love all his music and have learned some new (and unique) chord structures from him, but as far as it sounding like a dave song.... it could be any number of them, i mean, the verse is just an E, A alternation. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks bro. As soon as I win this battle against whatever bug is in my throat, I was thinking about voice lessons. Appreciate everything though.

the vocal needs to be mixed to both channels. The guitar is a little boring since it sounds like a chord alternation over nad over again. your voice needs to have a little more energy going into the chorus and on.

keep posting
DMBtabs welcome to it
