Unread post by coldblueice41 » Tue Dec 28, 2004 3:07 pm

Alright heres my first recording, hope yall like it. The vocals are kindy shady in parts where i layed down more that one vocal track, but not that bad.

well, i listened to it and it wasn't bad...but it wasn't good. it was just boring really.

your playing was good for almost the entire thing, i think you maybe missed the beat like twice or something, nothing bad, but the song is so easy to play.

the vocals were good, you lacked a little on the falsettos and the dual vocals singing the same notes didn't work at all.

I don't know how to say it, and i dont want you to think i'm saying you suck, cause you're pretty decent. it was just a very boring cover. it needs more guitar tracks, a lead track, and i think you'd probably do better w/ a less boring song.

Bartender is one of those that are so boring and that's why it's so amazing that dave can pull if off. sorry, but i don't think you'll get many responses for this.

you're good, try a harder song.

EDIT: oh and by the way...dmbtabs. welcome to it :)

i thought it was good man. you got a good voice. a second would def make it more interesting. this is one of those songs that can only be played with a band.

The singing was great, the only thing was that the verse was a little too quiet compared to the chorus, you could either sing the verse louder or step away from the mic when you do the chorus. But that is a little nitpicky, I know the song has diff. dynamics, but I ended up turning the volume down on the chorus. The vocals were great overall though, and the guitar was dead-on, but as said before, it seems a little slow and boring. I don't think bartender was meant for one guitar, you need some sort of lead or solo in the outro at least.

But, good job! :D

I thought it was a good job on this song, but I'd agree this kind of a boring song to tackle. You did it well though, I'd take out the voice effects though your voice is better without them.
