Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) Acoustic (first recording)

Unread post by jeffro » Fri Dec 03, 2004 10:07 pm

Ok everyone, after playing guitar since Easter 2003, I am finally confident enough in one song to post it. I don't post in the recording forum often, but I do check things out. Now that I've posted a recording and know a bit more about music I think I'll start being a little more productive for the community. So here it is folks:

Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) Acoustic-No Vocals

I think my rythym gets off in a couple places and there are a few mistakes, but I think it sounds good for one take. I didn't sing because I'm still training my voice. Please critique.

Impressive, but it would still sound better on electric. You can get more energy. But, this probably not the final thing, you can edit it and get some awesome acoustic effects in. Wellplayed, nice fills. I like it, 9/10. pleaassee post the tabs!! lol thanks. you cant ever find good tab for this song.

Thanks a lot guys heres a tab for the few fills that i do

Code: Select all

For the first two chords I like to slide up to them after the E/G
e------- ------- -0--------------------0------------------
B---8--- ------- -0--------------------0------------------
G---7--- --13--- -1--------------------1------------------
D---6--- --X---- -2-----------0-0h2-0--2----------0-----0-
A---7--- --14--- -2-----0-0h2----------2----0-0h2---0h2---
E------- ------- -0--3-----------------0--3---------------

Ending:

----------------------------------------0--
----------------------------------------0--
-----13-----13----13----12----12---12---1--
----------------------------------------2--
--14-----14----14----13----13---13------2--
----------------------------------------0--
And I forgot to mention that I play a bit of a WSP song in there called Imitation Leather Shoes and here's a tab for that:

As for the electric over acoustic comment, I agree, but my playing was better on my acoustic version so I went with acoustic.
