It seems that there was some basic shit that you just didn't bother with like tuning the guitar. :D
You also don't seem to be very into it like you recorded one take and were like "fuck it might as well throw it up there". Where's the passion man!? I know you have it in you.
I understand that these are rough ideas but please try and put a little more effort into it. You can't go thru the motions and expect people to be blown away. Get it as clean and tight as possible or else whats the point ya know?

I want to hear another version soon and it better have more energy. :P

If this was your best attempt out of several than disregard my comments and replace it with "keep at it".
Sorry to rip into you just trying to bring out that inner beast.
Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me. Very boring #41. Try to work on your strumming...just make it sound nicer. Don't be so hard on the strings. Slow it down a bit and listen to maybe L@LC and try to immitate the strumming. Consider volume and which strings you are hitting. If you practice more you'll develop the ability to strum well.

lol, man, does anyone have any rhythm in these posts? Your version of #41 is ridiculously bad man. I can just picture you playing this, it would look so funny. I don't understand how people can't play these songs good at all. You shouldn't have to think about playing them well, but pay attention to the overall mood of a song, this will help. Although, I don't think it will in many people's cases on here... Peace out

I don't think people need to insult people posting songs on here. The whole point of this forum is to post music by people looking to get better and get some suggestions. Not to flame the person playing and everyone in the forums rhythym. That's the kind of shit that prevents people from posting in the first place. There is only one Dave Matthews, we are all striving to get there.

Damn, I'm sorry. Alright, just loosen up when you play man. Take down a few 40's or something before you play, i just meant you need to relax and loosen up. And yes, i'm an asshole, so i instantly make fun of someone. sorry, i need to go drink some 40's.

I haven't read any of anybody elses replys cause I want to give you my unbiased opinion. I think the introshould be played with out such quick strokes that aren;t very fluid. It was very choppy.

Daves intro hits each chord 3 to 5 times but in a rythymic way. Slow down and listen to Luther very carefully.

Quite frankly the verse needs the same attention.

Record it again for us in a few days and see if you improved. I can record a version for you this weekend and we can compare.

My advice would be to add some 'picking' in the original.. You seem pretty loyal to strumming, which is cool, however i think you should throw in some picking. Be it hammer on, pull off or alternate picking.. i think they would add a cool dynamic to your song. I think also you should soften up and slow down..
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).
