Please Check OUt my Band's Song- You Won't Be Dissapointed

Unread post by timisinsane » Tue Oct 19, 2004 3:42 pm

My bands name is Ionic Bonds, and this is just a little acoustic demo my lead singer and I recorded at school. I'm on guitar and also the first set of vocals you hear. My friend josef (the lead singer) is on vocals and harmonica. please check it out, you wont be dissapointed.

Go Here and Click on "Sunday Rain" and if you like that, check out the other two:

I like it, but watch with the volume with the rhythmic slapping. It's a little over-bearing at times. My opinion of course. You both have nice voices. It reminds me of G. Love and Special Sauce of "Milk and Cereal" fame. Haha, good job!

P.S. What do you have a recording studio at school? The recording is a great quality.

Wow, very nice. I've always been interested in MOTU's stuff. How do you capture the audio? Does Digital Performer come with an audio interface?

Pretty cool.

Flow:
With that style of vocals you have to be clear, confident, and on the beat but it lacked all of these. It sounded really scattered an unrehearsed which is kinda ironic given it's namesake.

Sunday Rain:
Nice little song. I liked this one alot better than Flow. You should write in a bridge or something cause the two chord verse, chorus, lead break gets a little boring.

Thanks for sharing.

i'm not 100% about all the technicalities with that, but I know we use a MOTU 828 and MOTU 896 to capture audio (im fairly sure) and the program is really good and easy to use after using a bunch and produces really good quality stuff.
