How does this sound?
This is a riff I've been working on for this past week.
I'm mainly looking at how you feel abou the transition at the :16 second mark.

sounds like you should have a mute or strum after the first two notes of the transition, I hope you understand that cause I don't know how else to explain without a tab or something. It sounds cool, but that might hold the beat through the transition...good luck

I like the idea you've got there but the timing is off ...
It sounds like the rhythm guitar knows that the first guitar playing the melody is going to be off and so it holds a note a beat too long. If I were you (not knowing how you did it) I'd do the second guitar part first (the rhythm) and then do the melody over it so that the timing is consistent.
But I really like where you're going with it.

Ok, then it's this part that is the issue I guess. It seems like you're trying to do too much at once ... It's causing you to get sorta out of time . I'd try to streamline it a bit and see what happens ... or if you want, make that extra stuff a third guitar track.dmbguitar718 wrote:this is the riff without the second guitar: http://www.patmcinnis.com/song2.mp3

There's no limit on the number of tracks you can lay down for guitar. I think Tonic had something like 11 guitar parts in "If You Could See"
Big thumbs up though

I get it. I'll fix the timing. I'm gonna keep working on it, and I'll post a final copy.
