Long Black Veil --- Crush <<<Covers Are Up!!!>

Unread post by firedancer86 » Mon Apr 07, 2003 4:30 pm

Long Black Veil - This was recorded the night I learned it > I created some Tim fills and solos too but mainly focuses on vocals...

Crush - Mainly focuses on the Tim solos and fills > I can tab the solos for both songs upon request...

PLEASE LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK :D

Hey Firedancer...Good Cover of a cover. IM not gonna breakdown your song note for note and tell you fucked up here or there. I will say that It sounded great. Vocals were nice, recording as usual sounds crisp, and rythym was very good. I like the little Tim fills. You get an A. Sorry this wasn't constructive... If I found something I didn't like I would state it but really couldn't find anything wrong with it. But i just wanted to say I liked it. Its one of my favorites....when Johnny or Dave does it.

It finally worked for me! Anyway, this is awesome stuff and I can't wait to hear more. I especially enjoyed the solo in LBV and Tim's part in Crush. I don't know how you got it to sound so much like Tim's storytellers part.

i listened to crush earlier today, so i dont remember alot...what i do know is that you had a good voice for it, but i think you went a little too heavy on the slide solo..great sounding cover though, great fills other than that :D

well it seems that quite a few people are having problems hosting with angelfire. either due to the limited bandwidth available or creating multiple accounts in succession which i think classes as a breach in TOS. I just did a search for free web space providers with unlimited bandwidth. i came up with this one:

http://www.1asphost.com/

100 mg of space, unlimited bandwidth. well that's what it says anyway. so you might want to give it a try?? or if i can get a hold of your cover i'll see if i can host it for you.

Jack

(having a go at my "bud"s hey!!! hehe.) :D

In the terms it says that they do not allow mp3's, or I guess it dosen't exactly say that but it says they only allow the following:

7. We only allow the following file extensions to be uploaded to our servers: asp, html, htm, shtml, shtm, wml, wmlc, wmls, wmlsc, wbmp, as, swf, fla, xml, xsl, xls, css, class, js, inc, gif, jpg, jpeg, bmp, ico, png, doc, mdb, txt, mid, wav

So, this would be great if they'll let us host mp3's, I'll email them and ask.

well that's fair enough. you could just rename your mp3 to .jpg or whatever you needed. i think i've seen it done elsewhere before.

cheers

Yeah, that's what I was going to say... then when people download it, they just need to change the extention. Seems like it'd work.
