You guys should check out this local band from my area(richmond, va), my good friend brandon is the lead singer... they're pretty amazing, im thinkin they might make it big.. it's not exactly Dave style music but i think everyone will liek them, they're worth hearing. anyways, here they are

Yeah, I checked it out. Your friend has a pretty sweet voice (though I don't know if the screaming was necessary haha). I liked that song "We Lose Ourselves", wish there were more though... The lyrics and feel remind me of a band "The Weakerthans"...don't know if anyone has ever heard of them. Anyway, tell him I said good luck...anyone that can make it in music is damn lucky... peace
