Im really impressed with the way this one turned out. Its a cover of a DMB song, but we really turned it into something unique and rockin'. Please critique, I want opinions, this was a lot of work....

Very well played musically. The singing needs a little work here and there. Sometimes it's shining and golden (parts of bartender, and the wails) but other times downright atrocious. Work on the singing you got yourself an excellent cover. Bass is very nice. Might wanna tell that guitarist not to strum so hard through =p Sounds really clanky.
Good cover overall. IMO. IMO IMO IMO.

Fuck you man...
Nah, my voice is either on or off, no where in between. Glad you like the bass. And HaikuWarrior did a great job on guitar I thought. I strum hard when I get into my playing too. But thanks for the opinion, much appreciated brother

Maybe it is because my treble was cranked. I'll try again with it a little more normal.

i'd like to get another opinion...but this time from a guitarist about the clanky hard hitting strum...is it that noticeable and i thought dave plays pretty hard himself...just by looking at his wrist you can tell theres good amount of pressure behind that.
thanks.

You guys did one hell of a job! I was quite impressed. The only problem I have with it, the bass, in my opinion is just a little too loud, it kind of drowns out the guitar during most of the recording. But overall this was a great cover!
And HCHaikuWarrior, you were strumming hard, but it didn't sound that clanky. When you play that D String open during the entire song, you're bound to get a little buzz, clanky sound from it. I really get into this song as well when I play, and I notice the same thing when I play, the buzzing or what not. But it didn't seem like you were clanky, or buzzing. This was very well done!
Great job guys

In BEF it sounds like the instruments are either all left speaker or all right. I'd adjust the individual instrument balances so it blends together a little more.
I really like the reverb guitar that's thrown in Bartender. The vocals max out at times, making the recording fuzzy at times. Toward the end, there are several times where the flow of the song is lost, but you get back on track.
I really enjoyed it besides the time mess ups and vocal problem areas.

I would like a definition of "clanky" to understand what should be noticed. I heard some solid guitar, and I liked the way you played it with the muting (if thats what that was). It gave it a good beat and its slightly different from how I like to play it (which is kinda the same). Maybe I'll post my version and we will all see if I clank too, who knows... clank
P.S.- Bartender, if you keep singing like that I might need another drink

it's alright though, really, just watch your volume man...

Yea my singing gets loud and sometimes my voice breaks, but I do my best. Im not a master of CEP so I know I put too much treble on the track, but Im still trying to find the greatest set up. If anyone has a good clean set up and would like to tell me about it, it would be much musch appreciated.
Oh and the distorted tapping is me and so is the solo. The only guitar part is the rhythm, everything else is me. And I thought Andy did a superb job, A work is you ask me
