Specific CoolEdit Help (SOLVED)

Unread post by C.S. » Wed May 19, 2004 3:19 pm

I just started having a problem using CoolEdit that makes it impossible to use the multitrack feature. Just a few days ago I recorded a couple songs this way and everything went fine. I would first record the guitar part on one track. Then I would record the vocals on the second track. Yahoo, everything was fine.

Now I'm having a timing problem. I'll record the guitar track just fine, then I'll record vocals and everything will seem fine too. But when I play the song back, the vocal track is out of sync with the guitar track; it seems ok at first but quickly the timing deteriorates. It sounds like the vocals are playing slightly before the guitar track. This same thing happens when I try to record additional guitar tracks to suppliment the song. As you can imagine, I end up with a mess of a song. I can't for the life of me think of any setting, software or hardware, that I messed with before this happened.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm using a SoundBlaster Audigy LS on an AMD XP 2800 with 512MB Ram.

FIXED!

I reinstalled my soundcard drivers and software and everything appears to be working correctly again.
