NEED SOME CRITIQUING PLEASE!!! (new song sort of) *UPDATED*
hey guys, im getting closer and closer to performing with my DL4... but i need some opinions on how this sounds ... this is a mock live version - basicly i sat down in front of my family and recorded this live with my microphones and DL4... ... so think of it as a live version =) im concerned with how fast the song is... is it too long so that you lose interest? is it too obnoxious... how abot uthe looping... ANY help would be greatly appreciated (realize im throwing my self out here naked with this...)
*NEW VERSION*

(i figured out the best way to loop the funk part so it doesnt sound choppy)

Xoosh.......I thought it was very cool....and I'm not just saying that.
I didn't think it was too fast at all, I thought the tempo was fine. The only part you kind of lost me was between the 1:00-2:00 mark. I just didn't think that part blended quite right with the rest of the song. But hey, I'm not exactly an accomplished music critic! 8) But really, the first minute and last minute were excellent.
.......very tight playing. Nice job.

wow...hey, thats a nice tune bro. it kinda sounds like some days of the new song that I cant remember...anyway, it's very nice...with some lyrics and some polishing, you will have a great song on your hands...it was totally fine, except for one thing...the 6 string was too twangy sometimes i thought...like it was hit too hard or vibrated too much...but you can fix that on your next try...anyway, sounded like a winner! late.

hey xoosh. just listened to it. in NO WAY is it too fast. it's a great tempo. it sounds like it's a really fun lick to play. in fact, at the end, where you have that low bass lick looped and you play higher little ditties over it, it got boring. that lick where you play the open string and then fret it, and then open, then fretted, then open, then fretted (all same string), that lick doesn't bear constant repeating, UNLESS you can do some insane shredding over it. i don't mean to be insulting, but i haven't been overly impressed with your soloing in other audio clips, so i'd say you either need to do something different there, shorten that loop up, or prove my assesment of your lead abilities wrong and tear it up.
so it's not too slow or fast. good tempo. that last lick you play needs more for it to keep up with the quality of the rest of the song. good solid work.

yeah my soloing isnt anythign to gawk at. i know enough to get by with friends who jam, but im by no means a tim reynolds, etc... the open, fret, open, fret (i'll lovingly call the funk section), im trying to find things to throw into it.. or find something i can use instaed of that to outtro to... the solo at the end was compltely improvised and unplanned so im definitely seeking something more creative to throw in there... any ideas?
