starting recording

I am going to start recording some music.. but i want video w/ audio so i can post them on youtube. anyone have any suggestions on what webcam i should buy? or maybe something else i should get? im trying to not spend too much cash :?

First, ditch the webcam. Grab a camcorder, I use 3 Sony DCR-HC28's. They have a firewire output (you may need to get a firewire card for your pc) The cams were only $150 to $175 a piece on ebay. The mics are good enough to get you going in the right direction, but you if you want better sound, look into some kind of cheap software and mic's ( Sony Vegas and maybe some MXL mics or something). My vid's are all done in my studio, too much to list. But the camera will start you off right.

Get a macbook. Record the audio as you record the video, and then you can edit the audio all you want and clean it up while still syncing it with the video. Of course, you can do that with a camcorder and editing equip. like Final Cut, but since you should really own a Macbook anyway, you might as well buy one.
