For Matty - Crush

Unread post by mbgreen » Tue Feb 17, 2004 7:16 pm

He badgered me, cause I dont put up shit in this forum anymore. Well, this ones for you, bud.

One take, one track. Ok, two takes, cause I started laughing when I remembered who I was dedicating it to. I fucked up in a few parts, and my scatting is horrible. I'm no vocalist either, but hell.

EDIT: Took it down. Needed the webspace.

Seagull s6 anniversary. Cedar top. I got it for about 350. I should probably put a cheap pickup in it. The $12 mic I recorded this on isnt so hot. :)

Hey, lick my nuts. There are certainly worse guitars out there. It works. Plus, it was probably me playing it more than the guitar. :)

Nah, looking back, I'd have gone with something else. Im not too worried about it, since its just a learner. When I get a career (hahhhh) I'll get something nicer.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

don't worry about that fucker, he's gonna be another troll, he dissed u, Ole, and i think someone else...

About your cover, I thought it was damn nice. Guitar was tight. Vocals seemed a little off at parts, but its 10x better than i can do. The intro was damn funny as well.

Yeah, well, he has no place to talk shit if he needs a tab for the outro he's talking about here. Last stop outro...(otherwise known as an open G chord.) Must have a hell of an ear. Hahhh. Kook.
rlightrouge wrote:Hey everyone, I was just wondering a couple things. You know the secret song/outro to spoon, that he sings in last stop as well. Does anyone know what that song is called on the studio album, and does anyone have the tab for it on guitar. Any help would be awesome! thanks a lot

Does that sound like me at all? Probably not, I'm more of a chirper than anything. Must be my roommate who's just learning Dave songs. But I would see how that song would be confusing, especially for a beginnner. It is tuned down. Anyways, if you would like me to post something, I will record tomorrow and post it, and then you will probably be discouraged from trying to play your precious songs. And by the way, I wasn't chirping you, just the guitar, cause the sound wasn't what I like. So, take it easy.

Well, youve got 10 posts worth of being a dick under your belt. So maybe you should re-think your arrogant approach. Your phrasing doesnt exactly convey a tranquil feeling...so dont tell me to take it easy. Youve done nothing but talk shit since you got here.

And I certainly dont give a shit what you sound like...I'm well aware that there are plenty of people who could play and sing circles around me. Its laughable - no, pathetic - that you think I'd be the LEAST bit discouraged by hearing someone do something better than me. You dont have a clue what playing is all about, for all your "advanced knowledge." Chump.

Soooo....lick my nuts. Again.

Edit: This is definitely not Jason. He and I chill whenever I'm in LA, and he's my boy.
