You Never Know Solo Acoustic

Unread post by jkanter » Wed Feb 12, 2003 5:29 am

Ever wonder what You Never Know would sound like if JUST DAVE was playing it. Well, this isn't him...it's me. There are maybe 3 or 4 rough spots in the song. Whenever I play the song I find I always play it TOO FAST so I decided to put on the 5/12/02 mpeg and lisetn to it while I played the song(guitar is plugged in directly to computer so you won't hear dmb). I know this is cheating in a way but I wanted to get an excellent sounding Solo Acoustic version of this.

Ther are some spots where it is kinda of apparent I was playing along with a show....but I don't care. I think it sounds DAMN good. I also used a different "All Fall Down..." part. It is exactly what Dave plays but to play it in standard tuning(even with capo) it must be played up at the 17 fret. I had never played it ther before so it def sounds rough at the "All Fall Down.." part. Other than that I think this is an EXCELLENT cover of the song.

Oh yeah...and for the jam....Dave hammer's on for every chord but that can't be done in standard tuning unless you tune your B string UP 1/2 step

I would REALLY like to turn this into a full cover and want anyone who thinks they can sing well to this song to e-mail me at jkanter@dmbtabs.com so maybe we can make this a real song(with vocals). If you think you can play lead over any of it(especially the jam part) then e-mail me also. HELL IF YOU THINK YOU CAN ADD SOMETHINGTO THIS THAT WOULD SOUND GOOD....E-MAIL ME!!! That means violin, drums, bass, horns, lead acoustic....lead electric. WHATEVER!!!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ALL THINK....peace

Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

that avatar is odd....maybe shrink it down a little..at least to get rid of some of that width....length isn't too much of a prob cuz mine is long as well....
