Yeah man there is definitely a big difference. I am working on my setup now. The next thing I need to get is a good sound card and then I think I will pretty much be set.

i am lucky enough to be able to use my college's equipment. free recording time = the win.

i'm gonna go in saturday try and get some clapton (layla, hey hey, tears), jack j (flake, rodeo, taylor), and dave (billies, grey st, stone, crash, jimi thing, and 41) down. we will see how it turns out.

i am fucking amazed how the eqiupment makes a difference. i need to learn how to adjust the eqs and stuff, any tips would be appreciated.

Damn post some of those songs up. Especially the JJ ones. I just bought his On and On album today and I am lovin it!

I don't know much about the EQ settings but I am sure a few people on here know about that stuff. I am reading a book on all that stuff right now so I can know what the heck I am doing.

This might help with some of the EQ questions. Some one posted it up on here earlier.

i've got two hours to beat myself upu with. if you listend to the 1st recording you'd have heard my stage fright (is that spelled correct?)

one of my friends plays violin, we're gonna get him in to record with us for billies, grey st, and crash.

another guy likes to freestyle rap and scratch on his tables, if you listen to rodeo clowns with dj love i believe, that's what we're gonna try to do ;p

Sounds good man! Just add some vocals to them and you will be set man. I love playing Drive! One of my favorite Incubus songs.

Thanks

I dunno.. I just feel like I hear a lot of pick "flapping" .. personally, I use fender 351 hards for everything.. I dunno how that translates to measurement.. but I imagine it is something like .9 or something much thicker than .5 .. It's all preference.. but I just don't like to hear the pick flapping about.. maybe it isn't prevelant to most people anyways
