My MELLOW Halloween

Unread post by cave_cricket » Mon Feb 10, 2003 6:47 pm

I thought I would share my Halloween. It is not the same as Dave's because I wanted to make it a mellow song (sorry Jason - I DO know how to play it right I just didn't want too  )

PLease tell me if it's crap or good.

not bad, cricket, it's definitely different, but a little too different than the original..

ok, i understand, but what i guess i meant was that there was too much difference for me to really enjoy it.

ok...pros...you would have the voice if you sang it at regular key...
................the guitar would sound better if some of the notes were closer together (time wise)...it sound great...

ok, now the cons (constructive cons of course  )...you sang it SO low, that it sounds near rediculousy different :D the guitar was spaced too far apart for an actual sense of rhythm, and thats about all...

I WOULD LOVE SO MUCH (and think you could do it well) if you were to bring those vocals up and put some foot tappin beat to it...just my 2 cents...

SUMMARY: GOOD, but we need to hear you do the real thing now (because hearing you play and sing, I know you could!)

CAve......this sounded just like the Halloween tease I heard him do in Albany a couple ofr months ago. Like the other responses say, this is a song that just works so much better played to speed. I bet you could pull it off nice (with the singing) if you chose to. I give you credit for trying something different, though

Well I see this didn't take....
I agree that rhymically it took me half the song to get right (i'm ued to playing it the regualr way and had a hard time getting it down when slowing it down)

I still think that this sounds awesome...it wold be wicked if Dave and Tim performed it this way....I thought it gave an eeire type quality to it (that's just my opinion I could be wrong)

I will post myself doing the original version onve I record it...

Peace,
