My turn....LIOG

Unread post by jkanter » Mon Feb 10, 2003 9:50 pm

Well.....I am finally posting something here.....this is partly becuase I wanted to try some new stuff out and also because there is no reason I have never put something up....I mean I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY SITE GOING DOWN AND NO ONE GETTING THE MP3!!! HAHAHA

Couple things about this recording that are necessary to know before you hear it:
1) This is not my guitar. I do not own a guitar that has a bridge on it(AT ALL) so I am borrowing this guitar right now. I might have been able to ge the KOA but I didn't. This is a Washburn D10-N

2) This guitar has a problem in the fact that above the 7th fret, on the Low E...it buzzes. It is clearly apparent in the jam so just take it for what it's worth

3) I did this in about an hour and 15 min. I recorded each track once, didn't bother whether it was good or not...I just recorded them and synched them.

4) Everything except the first Timmy parts were done as an improv. I just figured something might sound good so I played it. I worked it out a little before hand but didn't really care whether it was perfect or not.

5) I am not a good lead guitarist. I know the Key of D so I can at least play the right notes for LIOG...but I don't know jack abotu music theory or anything. That is me just messing around during the solo's and hoping something good comes out of it.

6) I used a lot of effects that I really have no idea what they do. I probably should have read through Xoosh's cool edit tutorial first but I really didnt' care that much to do it

Alright...that's enough of me making excuses...I did my best...now I send my work into the pack of wolfs...here goes. This will be the first of many of my little experiments with multi-tracking...hell.....even ifi it's not that great...it's just fun.....enjoy all

my favorite song, interested in hearing it...
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

Nope...I wish....and I honestly CAN NOT sing. There is no way about it. Anything higher than a normal talking is where I go awry....oh well, maybe one day I will see if there is something I can do about it...peace
