thanks! i just need to pick up a bass player, and I'll be able to play a bunch of these tunes with my band... we've been working on them sans bass and it's a lot of fun...

thanks for the feedback, guys

thanks a lot... i don't know what you mean about a vocal pick up though... what is that?
Get loud, add color. As soon as the song seems its getting boring punch out a loud note to blow them away. It's usually in a transition. Chorus to verse or within the last chorus. I know that may not be your style but it's a long song you have to keep the listener interested.

I envy people who can find bandmates that fit their ratiocination.

come on, i'm sure you can find some people with similar musical goals/ideas. you're probably just not looking in the right places.

It's not easy to find talent that'll listen. Most musicians piont of view is they worked for years to get where they are and they wanna display it under thier own terms. Everybody wants to be a leader.

i hear that... i guess i've just been lucky. i mean, being a songwriter it takes a definate leadership quality (that i may or may not possess), but i'd rather NOT lead a band. i'd rather write melodies/lyrics just for form and hear other guys tear the music up and give it another dimension. its more fun that way!

but ive been lucky in that the musicians i've been working with have just tried to be a "part of a groove" which i can usually provide. its nice... just look for guys that LOVE to play everything. you can't go wrong...
