Two Big Band Recordings

Just wanted to post a couple tunes from last Spring's concert. I have solos on both of these and I think these particular tunes are pretty sweet.

The First Circle- A Pat Metheny tune. Pretty neat time sig changes. The main theme is in two measure groups of 12/8 then 9/8 subdivided. 3+2+3+2+2|3+3+2+2.

Ellis Island- A Bob Mintzer chart. Great melody. Really free solo section. It's just Dmi7, so we in the rhythm section tried to take it a couple different ways.
