Here, I mixed it down and you can still here it. I think you'll be able to know what Im talking about when you listen to it. There is a distinctive noise reduction in the pauses of the vocals even thought they are mixed together. http://www.sendspace.com/file/letr5w

Every time I try to sing louder at all, I go over the threshold and it comes out sounded terrible. How do you preset the threshold or what do you have to do to prevent this?

I figured that one out. If you're only recording with one mic you have to record in mono, then when you mix down the file, you mix it to a stereo file. To set to mono, go to options> Settings then on the right side it should say record type or something like that with those two options
