Death Cab Cover I Will Follow You Into The Dark REDONE
This was a pretty hard song for me to sing, probably a bit out of my range but I love the song and I hadn't heard it in a while until I listened to Eric's cover on his myspace (theres a plug for you Eric) so I decided to give it a try. Let me know what you think, Im planning on playing my first open mic tomorrow and Im pretty nervous so thats kinda why Ive been posting so much the last week or so. Thanks guys,

clasped is a hard word to sing isn't it?
the only thing i would suggest is to still work on your vocal line, it lacks a sense a rhythm, if that makes sense. Also for the chorus you really have to project instead of falling into a sort of half falsetto half normal vocal.

First off I admitted I ripped it from you. Second... Clasped is a BITCH of a word to sing. I redid it a few times and eventually just decided to leave it all clashphed or however I said it. But yeah everything else makes sense. Ill work on that. I caught myself doing that a few times and corrected some of it, I can hear where it slides off the melody here and there. Thanks for the help Eric

I agree with Eric, the vocal sounds sort of choppy. Work on smoothing it over. Guitar sounds pretty good though, good luck with the open mic

Thanks Mark. I have some time today I think Im gonna try to redo the vocals from scratch. I think for now the song is probably a bit out of my range but I like the song as well as alot of other Ben Gibbard songs so I guess Ill just keep working on them so I can play them out live. Ive gotten a bit addicted to the whole recording and editing game so I apologize for flooding the boards but I really appreciate all the input.

i would try singing it with capo 3 so you can worry about working on the vocal rhythm instead of worrying about hitting all the high notes. From there, work your way back up

I took it down to put a new one up and its still processing. It should be up soon
EDIT: Its back up now, I dont know how it happened but I put the old one back up by mistake, I dont have a ton of time now, I should have the new one up sometime tonight. Apparently I saved it in the wrong folder or didnt save it at all. I can't seem to find it right now

Alright I finally got the new one up. I still have along way to go to get where I want to be as far as singing goes. Its frustrating as hell but I think this one is at least better than the other one. Let me know what you think. Thanks again
