Does anyone know how I can set it up so that I can hear myself in my own headphones when i'm recording? Is this even possible?

It's entirely possible that your soundcard won't allow real-time monitoring and you'll have to go another route.

USB studio condenser mic. i think my soundcard has duplex capabilities though. i mean i've played into my mic and heard myself before. hm.
