Do you realized that you just called him a bra? Whatever, I just wanted to add that this was really well done. It would be great to hear more stuff from you. And btw, do you know if that was in the key Cm(E)?

first off, i freaking love this song. if it were longer id probably buy a cd just to have this song. but, there were parts of both recordings i liked and disliked. i like the old one for the rhythm guitar and speed and harmony vocal volume. i like this one for the lead vocals. i didn't like how you slowed it down and the harmonies were too low to really hear. they are really powerful and add soo much to this song in the last recording, they aren't the kind of harmonies that you should just barely hear, they should be loud. imho. also, i loved the fills, but i hated the effects on them. i guess i just liked the song better raw, for some reason it sounded like it had more emotion. but the lead vocals in this one were superb. so great job on this one, but ill still be listening to your old recording more.

hmm... so people liked it slightly more up-tempo. interesting. i agree that the harmonies could be louder in the mix. in terms of making it longer, i don't think i'm going to write anymore lyrics for it, but an instrumental break would definitely work well.

PlaylikeDave, I play the song using C chord shapes and throw a capo on the neck at either the 3rd or 4th fret depending on how high my vocals are resting on any given day. So the recording is either in Eb or E. I can't remember where I had the capo on that day.

Mogan, this was recorded with a single mic. The mic went to my friends M-Audio Duo (USB recording box), and from there the signal went to his IBM laptop. The mic wasn't anything fancy, some sub-$100 large condenser. The program used was Cakewalk Sonar.

Thanks for the replys, everyone. If anyone else wants to chime in, I'm all ears!

I'm not really a big music critque. Don't know a lot about what makes a song, or how to discrimate between certain things. But what I do know is this, that song was beautiful man, just simply beautiful.

I really liked that. Your voice is great. I could definitely see that song being on the radio, it's better than most of the shit out there now. Keep making good music like that.

That was pretty awesome, I like the tempo of this one...I think it fits better with the lyrics and overall tone of the piece. My sister came in while I was listening to it, and let's just say you've captured the 15 year old girl demographic...

rock on bro.
