I made a myspace music page a couple of months ago, and for the most part it has only been listened to by my friends. I was wondering if there were any critiques/pointers/criticisms of what music is on there from the dmbtabs community. There are a couple of different styles of guitar on there, so please listen and let me know what you think.

Im listening to shower right now. It really puts me at ease, especially with the intro. With that said, the singing is a little flat in some spots like when you sing "There seems to be no way" along with a few other spots. This will get better with practice. I dont think capoing will help, just more practice. The tempo changes in the chorus? or is it a bridge? Im not sure but it seemed to flow well. Work on the vocals and maybe think about throwing more into the mix (more slide, harmonies etc.) because as it is, it drags a bit.

Leaf has some rough falsettos but the guitar work is seems pretty solid. The strum pattern gets a little old half way through. I have a hard time following the lyrics. Maybe if you could post those up we could lend our opinions. Post the lyrics on all of your songs, it will make critiquing easier.

The falsettos in so beautiful are a bit better. As for guitar, it only seemd off after the yelling part. But the E chords and barre chords aren't enough to keep the song interesting all the way through. With that kind of guitar work, you'll need pretty compelling lyrics to keep the listener interested all the way through.

I have to do some paper work so i can't critique all of them. Sorry if i sound all negative. Please don't take it that way. I intended on being constructive in my criticisms. Over all, i say just work on vocals and lyrics first. Voice lessons are always a good choice no matter how good you think you sound. They not only can teach you how to carry a tune better, but make sure you aren't hurting your voice in the long run. Good luck and i hope to hear more from you.
