Well I was at Guitar Center the other, and I have a bone to pick with those idiots that stock there guitars, but I'll get to that in a minute... I played an 814-CE, and I know it's not the samething thing, but I'm almost convinced that after playing that, and boring the people that work there with 40 minutes of Dave Matthews, that I think it's better than the 900 series, IMO as of right now ;-) The price on that guitar, and still sticking with it not being the same model, but it was going for $2798. They said it was on sale, and the original price tag on it said $3999. Now with it being an 812-CE, the price is around $500 or so less than the 814-CE model. So there's my price guess for ya, I'm sure other people will be able to tell you a more accurate price range, but I think I'm pretty close ;-)

Now for me to get some steam off about Guitar Center, and I apoligize for doing it in this thread but... their selection sucks ass, every other guitar I played was out of tune, and a handful of guitars had broken strings on them. Now I understand that they are a big store and they have better things to worry about, but this was it's Grand Opening I went to!!! For crying out loud!! Tune up your guitars, and at least make sure that they had all the strings on them, and not broken!!! Ok, I'm done ranting, sorry, apologizes, had to get that off my back! ;-)

Dude, after being there, I'm glad I didn't invite someone to go with me, cause they would have been just as pissed as me. It just opened and the only thing I recomend is seeing how bad they suck ass! No selection, and what I stated above. Other than that, don't go, waste of time

Yes Beau, they do suck ass, but I'll stick my regular dealer, they hook me up rather well 8-) Oh Speeny, we need to get together and jam after Spring Break bro, I've had the erge to jam with someone else that knows DMB! Give me a holler when you get back to Toledo :-)

my guitar center is awesome. especially the acoustics department. never had a problem with broken strings or tuning. a couple minor tuning problems, but whatever. nothing i couldn't fix myself. sorry yours sucks....ut i'm gonna stick up for mine! haha.

and by the way....did they have the 814ce for 3999 on the wall before the sale?!?!? waht the fuck?! jesus, 2700 soiunds alright i guess, but 4000??? that's damn high.

and yes, i'm convinced that its better than the 914, which is why i own an 814 myself! used, but beautiful!......

I mean seriously, when are they not having a sale! It is just a cock of bull so you think you are getting a great deal. Though, Labor Day Sale, actually is a sale

My GC is pretty good.. nobody ever really bothers you much in the electric department, then when you goto the acoustic department, this is how i explain it: 'Hey there*rubs agaisnt you with their crotch*need any help?'
It seems that my GC enjoys their acoustic room more then their electric

nah....mine's not like that. i mean yea, obviusly they wanna make a sale, but they leave you alone.

And yes, they are always having a sale, its the bargaining factor that makes it worth it. you can always take a huge chunk of the price off if you talk to em enough. an that's probably because the prices are high in the first place, but i've seen more expensive shit at sam ash....i don't like tha place much at all.

and we have good selection too. a full taylor room, full martin room, then the rest! haha.

yeah, Mine has a shit load of Ovations, plenty Martins (high and low) All the main Taylors of the 4-8 lines. Fenders, takamine, and a shit load of classicals. It depends what time you go to mine. Mine is in the middle of a main mall of the state. When it is empty, it is just fucking awsome.

yeah, luck of the draw I guess. I have been to one down town Denver.Nicest acoustic room ever. Okay selection, but no one is ever in it. Electric room is awsome too. There are no heavy metal people that have there amp all the way up to 11.... .....playing kinda like timmy, only not making any sence what so ever
