Going to California

Unread post by 2stepingJ » Tue Mar 02, 2004 10:13 pm

... I called in sick and practiced all day... and I've finally got it.... *sigh of relief* :D

... don't know if anyone really cares, but I had to tell someone. The pattern gets somewhat frustrating. So does anyone else know how to play the guitar part? Also, I just got a mandolin for Xmas and am briefly looking over some tabs, anyone have a good one, 'cuz as of right now I'm just free-stylin' by ear. Thanks...

peace

You should learn "the battle of evermore" by Led Zeppelin. I'm not sure which album its off of, but it has some great mandolin rhythm parts. Here is a link to a tab for it.

Try learning the Gin and Juice cover by the Gourds, the main part is an A and a D chord, and there is a great mandolin solo in it.
