Restringing

Unread post by DreaminBassMunky » Fri Dec 26, 2003 2:39 pm

I am restringing my bass and I am new at it. Any tips? Where to cut the string, or just give a good length. I am loaning it to a friend in an hour and a half and haven't played it for over a week because of a broken string. Any website you could possibly point me towards, kind of a step by step thing? Thanks.

well, don't cut the string until you've already wound it and got it so it's not going to come off of the tuning key head thing
B+P by offer only...thank you

i dont have any sites off hand but if you do a search youll probably come up with something. and like matty said, dont cut off the excess string until it is all tuned up and ready to play. i like to leave about a centimeter of string left. hope this helps a little.
