Good guitar around $300

Unread post by 1eyed_jack » Wed Dec 10, 2003 1:52 pm

Hey guys, for Christmas I'm asking Santa for an acoustic guitar, and my mom said that santa's budget is $300. So I was wondering what some good guitars are for around that price that I should check out.
Thanks in advance!

i have an olympia OD5, it was 250 and i love it, plays amazing for a guitar of it's cost, and you can prolly get it with a cutout/pickup for the extra money

Ephiphone AJ15E Acoustic/electric
http://www.music123.com/Item/?itemno=29845

price: $200
Epiphone case: 30 bucks

still enough left over for some strings. :)

I own this guitar and it is a good cheap guitar. Decent sounding, can take a beating and has a nice skinny neck for easy playing.

Ask Santa to write you out a check for $300 and save it until later...

My friend has a Simon and Patrick guitar and it sounds beautiful. It cost him around $300. They are hard to find, but are worth every penny

I too own this guitar must say it's quite exceptional for the price and sounds pretty good for a select spruce top. If you were gonna go with something else I'd say go for an Alvarez...I think you can get a RD20 which has a solid spruce top, for 199.99 or something like that.

For $300, you could get a pretty decent Washburn...I have one, and it is the cheapest model. All of my guitar friends love it. They love the fact that I paid $140 for it too. I am sure that you can get a better model for $225-$300 that would be fantastic. btw, I second the post about Dean Guitars. I played one priced @ $250...it was really sweet.

peace
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.
