jammin'

Unread post by tbillie41 » Fri Dec 05, 2003 5:41 pm

last night i took the advice of grock and a few others (thanks!) and just jammed with a buddy of mine for a few hours. i went home with amazingly sore fingers, a smile on my face, and new song under my belt. he had some beatles stuff playing and he taught me norwegian wood, and in my life. then i taught him grey street and we jammed on that.

how many of you dig the beatles and play their stuff? i was flipping through the "white book", anyone else have that? it's amazing.

I am glad you had that experience because its like a drug you always want more. The trick is being open enough to experiment with different people. For me thats always been a problem. Do you know anyway to let go of your doubt and just go with your gut

the white book is all the music to all the beatles songs transcribed out. it's really damn cool. it's got all the guitar parts in actual music notation and then tabbed out as well.

That's funny man. I live in CT and I play with my buddy all the time he has that Beatles book to. We play Norwegian Wood and In My Life. I also just taught him Grey Street. What a coincident.

- Still cant hit that "using colors bold and bright" note in the third chorus though haha

ah, the beatles. You can tell that I like John Lennon quite a bit when you walk into my room. When you open the door you frist see 2 Huge imagine posters, a john * yoko picture, and a vinyl of Imagine the album plated in gold mounted (very expensive, and limited aniversery edition) on my wall. I play norweigen wood all the time, even on mandolin. If you want an accurate way to play beatle songs, like how I have the actual correct way to play yesterday, and john songs like Look At Me, as well as great beatles tabs and solo sites.
