Moonshadow
Great song (Cat Stevens). I learned it last night and I loved playing (and singing) it! My girl is letting me borrow her best of Cat Stevens CD and I really got into this song (her favorite track). I am seeing her this weekend and am going to surprise her by playing it. I love playing the chorus ... that opening chord rules -- 5320xx.

No problem man. I actually got that link from someone here a few weeks back because I didn't know where to get good Cat tabs.
I play rhythm and use a flat pick; I am not a fingerstyle player. I could tell by listening to Cat play that he does a lot of fingerpicking, so I was worried about having to figure out a way around that. But that site has pretty good tabs. I don't play the intro/chorus EXACTLY like Cat does, but I am pretty close with strumming (chords and indiv. strings here and there). But hey, what is the point of playing a song EXACTLY like the original artist? Dave plays Watchtower and the Maker different than Dylan and Lenois.
I like adding a little something to covers. Makes them more personal to me! I have been trying to write my own stuff too. I play with a buddy a lot (he plays lead) and I have two songs of my own that we play. Pretty good stuff I think. We haven't performed for anyone yet, but I'd like to soon. We need to get a mic first ... might check out ebay.
haha. sorry for the rambling man. I just got back from covering a game and I am in a talkative mood!

Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

But its in f*** G tuning!!! Damn it all to hell!!!! I don't want to go through all that open tuning crap. You tune a guitar to play one song, and thats all you can play with it.
