Coldplay Tabs?

Unread post by Jay » Sat Nov 08, 2003 6:32 pm

ASIDE from justspies.net? ...they are close to perfect but they are not perfect. i think the tuning for God Put A Smile Upon Your Face is off a bit, the tab sounds good, but not really perfect. i tried watching the new DVD, but the camera angles are so stylized that you can't really see what he is playing...

the best single coldplay tab i have seen is this one:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/g403z/othertabs.htm
from watching the DVD, that's the way chris martin plays it. unfortunately, she hasnt made many tabs.

anyway thanks...

i think justspies.net is as good as it gets for coldplay stuff. yeah the new dvd is a bit overproduced, too many camera changing and effects. great show though

For anyone who has the DVD...

For anyone who has the new Coldplay DVD, for the performence of the song See You Soon...who plays what? I was always dying to know if it's chris Martin playing the guitar for that song, or if it's Buckland playing with Martin singing. Or does Martin play any instrument for that song? Thanks a ton for any help.

Coldplay has quickly become the next dave for me, in the fact that I'm dying to learn all of their songs and know that they will stay with me; not just forget how to play them in a week.

However, I offer this. Their stuff is not difficult at all...usually you can find a tab, memorize the chords and BAM, you're done. But as I mentioned above, this doesn't really do it for me....anything that isn't interesting to play won't stick with me. So I took some time and listened to alot of their stuff, furthering the tabs I found, adding some complexity to make them stand out a bit more.

I'm very proud of my "amsterdam" rendition... the tabs i found for this were as simple as a chord progression..but there is so much more going on.

ooh, I strongly disagree. FF was overproduced, but overproduced VERY badly. I LOVE the coldplay dvd, it's so awesome, I love the production on it, it really draws you in.

Problem with Coldplay is either it's way too easy or way to hard. Either rediculous tunings and chords, or a Em Bm A type progression. That and the accoustic guitar isn't always playing.
