Inspiration from Clapton?

Anyone ever heard the song Running on Faith by Eric Clapton. I swear the outro to that and the outro to Save Me are practically the same. I doubt there was any real inspiration but I'm checking to see if anyone else knows what I'm talking about.

All Along the Watchtower and Stairway To Heaven are similar, just simple verse complex. The electric outro of Stairway is so similar to the Watchtower progression is.

Yeah I noticed that too. Dave could be taking a little inspiration from ole Slowhand, who knows though.

but Dave didn't write watchtower, or stairway. so it's kinds of different. Dave did write save me and it's kind of like a song that a different artist wrote.

the writing of save me is hardly an accomplishment. C G F... dave rarely uses this progression, but its just a simple blues progression

and trey anatasio takes the title of using F C G way too much
