Guitars and Roomates

Unread post by Links2131 » Sun Oct 26, 2003 3:41 pm

Hey any one else have trouble with you guitar and your roommates?
I just came back after a day away to find my guitar tuned to a very strange tuning and paint rubbed on the sides. Its not a great guitar its my school guiatr, but im getting a good one soon and dont want the same thing to happen to it. I know locking case but knowing a few of them they would try to pick the lock just to fuck around with it. Its only 2 of the 6 I room with but those 2 constantly try to mess with my stuff.
So do any of you have this problem and any sugeestions on how to protect my new guitar when it comes?
Geoff

doesnt sound like you can do much to change people like that, i would say get even and screw up something that they love if they do it to you.... of course that will probably escalate but what are you gonna do, watch them ruin your shit?

see the thing is they are spoiled rich kids. It takes me 6 months to save up enough to buy a new guitar they can just call mommy and daddy to buy them anything they want.

Just tell them to leave your shit alone if they cant respect it, and not to use stuff without asking, whats so hard about that, if they dont listen then they shouldnt really be your friends cuz they obviously dont care about or respect you much.

Everyone knows it but as for stopping it its impossible. They do shit while no ones paying attention so you cant really prove who it is but you know

Tell them that every time you find a scratch on it a random toothbrush will be picked to be dipped in the toilet.

yeah, I've seen things like that.
But listen, that kind of people can buy the greatest most expensive guitar that exists but I would never care, because the ability to play the guitar well cannot be bought and that is important.
