Unread post by jsgksu » Wed Oct 22, 2003 6:23 pm

Alright, seems Im starting to get over my g/f and I breaking up, and this song just did it for me, the lyrics are just talking to me and the song is so fun to play. It is: Cat Stevens - Wild World Heres the Tab: http://www.majicat.com/guitartabs/wildworldguitar.htm I had heard this song a few times before and the other night I heard it on a commercial or something, found I had it on my computer and listened to it a few times then found the tab. If you havent heard it, get it, if you have that tab is great, sounds perfect, I cant stop playing it. What do you guys think?

Is that the one that goes:

"Oooh baby, baby it's a wild world
It's hard to get by on a smile, girl."

(Edit: oooh it is.. sweet.)

Yeah that looks like a good tab.

Check out this one on GuitarNoise David Hodge might of arranged it a bit different but it sounds awesome. And you get full instruction on how to play it including audio.

NPR, that tabs not bad, seems like its a little simplified but its got the right idea. I think the one I posted might be a little better, the only thing I like about that one is the second little run in the chorus is better, but I already figured it out. Thanks for posting though, that'll help beginners get it down. Glad you all enjoy the song though, its a great tune.

I love Cat Stevens. Check out "Trouble" it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Coldplay, Dave, and others have recently highjacked the title but CS's is the best. Real simple to play but a bit tricky to sing.

Been listening to Cat Steven's since I was a kid. He has a lot of great (and easy to learn) acoustic songs.

He has two good greatest hits cd's with a lot of good songs for experienced and beginning guitar players. Father and Son is a classic.

Same here, Mom was the fan growing up. I have the range problem with Morning has Broken, nice song though especially when you play with the melody.
