Good guitar players, and easy versions

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

Good guitar players, and easy versions

Unread post by cgalves » Thu Sep 11, 2003 3:35 pm

Ahh ... after about 3 weeks of hell, I KNOW have internet in the house im living at for college. Stupid cable company had me wanting to kill the CEO, burn all of his possessions, and sell his children into slavery ... how can one company be so inept at running a cable line?!

Its good to finally have internet tho again, I was starting to experience withdrawal syndromes from this site 8) ..

Anyway, at this new place I'm living at, there are so many ungodly good guitar players. Most of them put me to shame, its horrible. The other night we were all jammin out, playing Dave, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dylan, etc, and some random dude asks to pick up one of our guitars ... we're all like, yea, of course man, we didnt know you played. HE responded, "yea, i play a little" to which he then started ripping out Hendrix's Little Wing on an acoustic. Good god I wish I could play like that. Whats even better is how he wasnt one of the guitar players who brags about it, all he said in response to all of us saying he's really good was "hey man, i just play."

On a question, are there any live versions of Two Step and #41 that I could dlownload to hear the guitar parts clearer? I've been trying to play those lately ..

Thanks guys,

"yea i play a little" PFFFF

Live at luther college has both of those. and its acoustic so its only D&T. that would be your best bet. also, someone did a two step cover a little while ago, see if that ones up. i put one up, but took it down. so you'll have to look for the other one.

#41's too easy. once you get it, you'll see how easy it is. then you'll laugh that you tried to make it too hard. that's what i did when i learned it the right way. just check out the tabs and play along w/ the songs.

two step is a little harder (mostly the rhythm) but like i said before, just play along w/ the song. youll get it.
