Heavier Things

I just got heavier things, and i really dont like it at all, there is alomost no acoustic in any of the songs, actually the only song with any acoustic guitar is daughters. im really disappointed in john.

heh. i had a copy of an album last week. i listened to it once, then put it away.

there was an unreleased song, called Tracing, which is one of his best songs that he's written. but it wasn't on the album. figures.

anyway, i think i'll spend my money on the David Gray dvd.

and you're mistaken about the only acoustic being on Daughters...the two songs that you can really hear the acoustic on are Wheel and Daughters.

i liked the album but the songs live sound so much better big time with come back to bed and wheel is not acoustic

I took a listen to it on MTV and have a few things to say:
First postive:
Great Guitarist
Great overall concept of music

Negative:
Terrible lyrics
Sorta Sold out
Thinks of himslef too much as a god.

Back when he was nobody, he acted all cool and stuff and didnt really care too much if anyone liked his music or not. Just seemed to do it for the music. Now it seems as if he is doing it just for those 12 year old girls out there to scream all over. while I dont blame him for doing it, I think he jumped too far off the edge. Still a great guitarist though.

I lovI love acoustic, but I also love electric. I also have a synth, but don't play it that much. I like both styles. Also, the few times I have seen phish playing, trey was playing an electric guitar. I also like the song Heavier Things.

and yeah...Trey plays electric often.

anyway, synth is fun. i used a bit of synth in the new song...and it turned out great. just gotta know how to use it effectively and not in excess.
