What to play?

Unread post by Dead Dawg » Mon Sep 01, 2003 8:01 pm

Im having trouble finding some good bar songs to play that everyone likes to hear...other than the usual american pie freebird stuff...what are some good pearl jam acoustic songs other than daughter elderly woman and black that i can do solo...and anyother songs from anyother bands that i can cover solo acoustic and sound good...also anything other than dave cause i usually play about 5-10 of his songs every show.

thanks
Dave

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

I always get the crowd moving, no matter what, with Like A Rolling Stone. It's a classic, full of energy, fun to play, and almost everyone knows it.

Also, when I played at a tavern, I always dedicated Bartender to the bartenders, lol.

Come Together is well liked, and if you can play it how tim plays it, then that is one everyone would love (man, I wish I could play Come Together like timmy).

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' songs are good. Any Bruce Springstien or Steve Miller go on well. The last I can think of would be Acosutic Zepplin.

Try some Foo Fighters. Everlong and Big Me sound great acoustic.
