Slap bass

anyone have any tips on playing/how to play slap bass?

use the side of your thumb for the top 2 strings... the others you have to pluck... its hard to explain without being able to show you..

Takes a LOT of practice, but once you get the hang its not as difficult as it seems.

Obviuosly you slap the E and A with your thumb be sure to practice correct hand position all the time

learning to pop the higher strings with your other fingers will also take time, im no expert but i would look up some pictures online to show you the correct positions because they are easy to get wrong. plus i cant really explain it on this

follow up question...i learned how to play guitar w/ "Guitar for Dummies" Worked wonders. now i wanna learn to play bass, any good tips, or should i find "Bass for Dummies"?
