Cool simple way to install any pickup on an acoustic
I read a cool article on how to install any pickup on an acoustic guitar. Basically you just take a feedback buster and cut it into the shape of the pickup you want to use, then put the pickup into the feedback buster and install an endpin jack where the endpin goes. It's really simple and reversible with the exception of the endpin jack, although you could just run a cable out the soundhole instead. A good alternative to buying a soundhole pickup, where you only have a select number of pickups to choose from. Or if you just want a home-made alternative to soundhole pickups.

Not all pickups are soundhole mounted though, which can be an issue. The good pickups are under the saddle/bridge inside the body because that is where you get the best tone.

Oh yeah, I didn't really mean any pickup. I meant if you wanted to mount an electric pickup in an acoustic, which it is useful for. And sure pickups inside the body may sound better generally, but soundhole pickups have their advantages. I saw a Damien Rice video where he had two pickups, one in the soundhole and the standard one under the bridge, and he put one on a clean signal and one on a dirty signal.
