Campfire Sing-alongs?
I'm going camping this weekend and was just wondering if y'all had any suggestions for some simple campfire sing-alongs. I'm still a beginner so the easier the better, though, I could probably laern some intermediate level stuff by then. Thanks

It depends on who you're going camping with, if their Dave fans learn like Crash and stuff like that. If not just find something at least 2 other people know so you won't feel so along. I love campfire singalongs.

If you're into fingerpicking, capos, and hippy music, simon and garfunkle is a must. Sound of Silence, April come she will, homeward bound, and scarborough fair are great on acoustic and are not too hard to learn.
If you are playing with a friend, Lets get together by the youngbloods is great for two acoustics.
More modern songs which are great for a campfire include pearl jam's black, the freshmen by the verve pipe, and drive by incubus.
As for DMB fans, it depends on the mood you are trying to give your listeners. If you wanna creep them out, Warehouse, minarets, and two step are good bets. Weepy songs include satellite, crash, and cry freedom. Mystical songs include seek up, typical situation, and
captain (crazy) Upbeat songs, especially for sing alongs, are WAYG, Jimi Thing, and Ants Marching.
Have a lovely time camping.

Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Lets get serious folks.....
How about a little bit of "No Woman No Cry" by Marley. Mix the Fugees version in there and you got an easy, fun campfire song
