Strange sound
Ok...so i just got finished retuning my guitar after putting it into DGFCAD or something close to that...and i whhen i started playin again....it just did not sound right...at first io thought maybe it was just me...but there is definatly something out of tune(what i think) but i'm using my tuner and it's saying everything is in tune....any idea what this could be?
Andrew
a lot of tuners aren't that good. IF the tuner has a built-in pitch pipe, try that. Or better, use an online guitar tuner like the one here: http://www.gieson.com/Library/projects/utilities/tuner/ . I really like it because it sounds like a guitar.
also, a lot of tuners have a sharp or flat marked really inconspicuously so make sure one of your strings isn't flat. the best way to to check it is to do the fifth fret tuning instead of using a tuner
5th fret on low E = A open
5th fret on A = D
5th fret on D = G
4th fret on G = B
5th fret on B = E
then if that all sounds right, use your tuner to get it exact.
(i apologize if you already know that, just throwing out there in case.)
